Easy Boiled Peanuts |
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse the raw peanuts thoroughly and place them in the bottom of the crock pot. Fill the pot with water (enough water to see the peanuts begin to float), stir in the salt and Texas rub. Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 10-12 hours. As the peanuts begin to cool at the end of the cook, they will soak up all of the salty goodness, so don't be tempted to add more salt! As soon as the peanuts are cool, store them in the brine in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or store the cooked peanuts in the brine in the freezer for several months.
