The Leftover
Carolina-style Burger

Normally, NC-style burgers are slathered with a delicious bean-less chili and creamy coleslaw but in our version, we're ramping up the burger with pulled pork in lieu of chili.  It's a great sandwich quickly put together with food we had leftover from a BBQ gathering!

Ingredients:
- Cooked hamburgers
- Cooked pork (can be pulled pork or pork pulled from smoked pork ribs and chopped)
- Burger buns, toasted
- Mayonnaise-based slaw
- Mayonnaise & prepared yellow mustard

DIRECTIONS:
Warm burgers by placing on a plate and bringing to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Heat oven to 275°F, wrap the individual burgers in tin foil and heat for 10-12 minutes. Likewise, place the pork in tin foil, sprinkle with a splash of liquid (BBQ sauce, water, apple cider, etc.) and wrap tightly. Heat for 10-12 minutes. Next, place split hamburger buns, flat side down, directly onto the oven grates and toast 3-4 minutes.

Now it's time to make your burger!

Spread mayo & mustard on each side of your bun, lay down the beef patty, follow with a layer of pork then a heaping mound of coleslaw. Slap on that top bun and enjoy your delicious ramped up Carolina burger!
