INGREDIENTS: 2lbs. "party" chicken wings 2 TBSP. Gusto's Lexington BBQ rub 1 TBSP. baking powder Texas Pete brand buffalo wing sauce Marie Sharp brand Hot Carrot Habanero sauce (optional) 2 carrots, cut into sticks 1 celery stalk, cut into sticks Ranch or bleu cheese dressing |
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 450°F
Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and place a grid-style rack on top of the foil.
Mix together the Lexington rub and baking powder. Pat dry the wings very well and toss with the spice mix. Place the wings on the grid rack and bake for about an hour, turning every 15 minutes until the internal temperature of the wings reach 165°F. Allow the wings to rest for a few minutes, place wings in a large bowl and toss with desired amount of Texas Pete. Add the hot sauce for spicy-tasting wings. Serve right away with ranch or bleu cheese dressing; carrots and celery sticks.
